I check this board every once in a while tho I am usualy over on the Ford N board as I have a 9N & 2N. Will be long post. The lady I sold my other place to had a year ago a Case 300 square nose non runner given to her, she got it running. Now wants to sell it, asked me to give her a price to put on it (I would like to have it but don't know where to get the money). Case 300 square nose narrow front with 3 speed + 4 speed transmission with big lever on left side. It is very rough with a few rust holes but the front nose cone has no dents as it has a Ford front mount loader on it, single action up, trip bucket that protected that cone, the ecaust manifold is bad (No pipe or muffler), I do not know if she ever got it to charge or not, put in new 12V (Is that correct?) battery, (Generator) seat shot, no batery box, do not know if live PTO or not,Eagel hitch all there with correct top link (Will this work with Ford cat 1 hitch imp?) power adjusted wheels on axlewheels can be slid on to adjust with good tires with fluid and 1 set of weights on rear (Needed for loader), Loader hooked to 1 of 2 remote cylinder conections (2 single action circuts or 1 double action circut?) Also 5' rear blade. She thinks the clutch has gone out as it will not now move itself, Could She have it in a netrual with the lever on the left side? The tractor is at Wapakoneta, Ohio. What price should I adviser her on for it keeping in mind that I would like to have it but don't know where to get the money but I do need a tractor of that size with loader along with my 9N & 2N Fords. What would be fair to all? If we have to go away for a few days she takes care of our dogs and cat. Could also help here maintain her drive and with snow plowing. Long post but without all facts good information not avaible. Thanks, Lester

I know there is a foot clutch on the left side and it raises and lowers but what I do not know what it is for is that long round lever on the left, is that for the PTO? or is that part of a Caseomatic setup? Without tractor running I cannot get it to move at all.

I only live a short distance from Wapakoneta and would be willing to look at the tractor. The lever on the left side disengages the wheel drive and allows the PTO to keep running while the tractor is stopped. It should be in the forward position for the tractor to move under power. E-mail me at gdotsly@loganrec.com or just click on my name above the message. I have my e-mail open... Gene

The clutch lever on the left side of the tractor must be latched in the full up position for the wheels to turn. Should be a 6 volt system unless it has been converted. The 6-volt starter will work fine with the 12 volt battery, but that's about the only thing that will work. What is the condition of the tires? I don't know what the loader is worth, but if the tires are only in fair condition, I would value the tractor at no more than $1,500. The tractor will work with most Cat. 1 implements. Sometimes you have to adjust the pin spacing on the implement to get it to hook up. Sometimes the pins are too far apart for the Eagle Hitch arms to hook up.
