630 transmission noise

I use my Case 630 to run my airblast sprayer. It does a good job but i have 1 concern. The tractor has the triple range and to get the proper speed in the field I run lo range 1st gear (~1.5 mph). If I am going down hill at the operating RPMs the transmission makes a lot of "chattering" noise. Especially if I am in 3rd lo traveling between fields. I'm not sure if it does this in the other ranges. Slowing the RPMs or pushing in the clutch or even touching the brakes to slow ground speed down stops the noise.
This occurs with the PTO engaged. I'm not sure where the noise is coming from other than from underneath. Any ideas?

The triple range has so many gears to get the twelve speeds forward that some gear clatter will always occur in the gears that are NOT engaged. It's worse at some RPM's than others. It's the nature of the beast. Just make sure you keep the oil levels at their proper levels (torque tube and transmission), and it will be ok.
