Thanks Tom. I was looking for one that will run off the timing gear. By the way would you happen to know how much pressure they might put out? I was planning on running a loader off it and a small backhoe unit. Thanks Dave

I have a 2-stage combine pump on my VAC. I use the power steering stage for the eagle hitch and the header stage for remote cylinder. Works well but I am not sure about the flow, good for remote cylinders. I found the following post.

Hey Don: Any old CASE combines around? Not sure what all models used the same pump, but I'm sure the 600SP used the same pump.

The engine driven pump is rated 7 gpm @ 850 psi when engine is running 1425 rpm. There is no relief valve in the pump, it is located in the eagle hitch control block and is normally set 800-850 psi.

Thanks Joe and Doc for the reply Joe I finished the loader and have it off the internal pump but can't seem to pickup more than 800lbs the pressure was 1200psi which it seems to call for between 1200-1300 psi So I guess I have to modify a old VAc adaptor with a old dist, I picked up at a swap meet. I will modify a pump to that and let you know how it works out. I will try and post a picture of the loader I finished And thanks for all your help. Dave

I guess I don't understand all you are trying to do. You are going to mount the VAC pump on the G148 using part of a mag for an adapter?

Joe, no I wanted to use the regular pump that would fit but it sounds like the pressure is to small. I guess I will plan on mounting a low volume higher pressure pump in the old vac dist, mount then add a bigger storage tank on the side of the loader, The loader control has a power beyond conection. I plan on using to run a small older Davis backhoe unit I picked up. What do you think?

I don't know much about the hp pump. An I&T manual states the rated working pressure is 4500 psi, doesn't list gpm. Case manuals I have don't address capacity. On this forum guys have stated the gpm from 2 to 4. Lots of terminal pressure for a loader but seems awful slow getting there. I dont think it would provide the gpm to co-ordinate the simultaneous functions required to operate a backhoe.

I use a Prince 2000 psi?, 11.4 gpm slip-on pto pump with a rectangular 30 gal reservoir mounted on the hitch lift arms above it to run my backhoe. That is more pump capacity than I need and easy to install or remove. Disengage the pto when it is not needed or add a selector valve and run the loader, you wont be using the hoe and the loader at the same time.

Anyway good luck, let us know how things work out.

Joe
