I may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but I am confused by the listing for serial numbers at the left of this forum. They have lumped all case manufacturing together in one continuum from the 1929 L through the last VAC-14 in 1956. How do you find out the serial number of the last DC built?? Can anyone tell me??? Thanks!

Tom, do you mean that no one knows the run on the serial numbers for the DC?

CEREAL NUMBERS: After all the years of quality Case tractor production when you look at the serial numbers they might as well have been random cereal numbers. In this area Case tractor was not well organized unlike so many of the other tractor companies. Can't imagine why the early crowd here couldn't organize and envision us tractor rebuild/restore enthusiasts and make our lives easier today. Don't you think?

Well I don't know about that. What other manufacturer's serial nrs between 1930 and 1953 can you glance at and immediately know the model and year it was built?

Joe

Got it! Thanks Tom! I guess Case was wacked in the head when it came to records? I'd sure like to know the answer, but I guess, the prospect of locking through 10,000 cards dampens my enthusiasum.
