I read your responce about oil pressure, was curious about the oil filter bracket. I have a VAC 14,it has no stand pipe that goes up into the filter and a VAC motor that has the stand pipe, was wondering if I should use the bracket with stand pipe on my VAC14. Which is the correct one????
Thanks....Keith

If it has a spin on filter,as far as I know it should have one. The stand pipes are just pressed in and sometimes they come off when the oil filter is removed and are accidently thrown away. I made mine for my 300 out of a piece of copper tubing, using one off a VAC as a pattern. The restriction created by the stand pipe, causes the rest of the oil to be forced up into the head. Without the stand pipe, most of your oil will only make it up as far as the bottom of the filter and run back down into the crankcase.

Thanks for the info, I will put the oil filter bracket off of the spare block on my VAC 14. Want to make sure I have all the right parts on it.
Again thanks for the knowledge.....Keith
