That's a nice looking 300 and they are great little tractors, the piece missing is called the grill cap, or nose piece, Part #G13004, I've talked to a few people with parts tractors that may part with one.Can check if you're interested. And the plastic emblem in that grill frame really helps its appearance. Roger

Nice tractor, but it looks like someone sealed the air intake holes off that were in the upper part of the hood and ran a pipe out through the top and put a rain cap on it.

On a 2nd. look, the screened air intake is actually missing.

Strange, I would have sworn thet the air cleaner is original with a pipe up. The rain cap I know is just some thing I found to keep the grass hoppers out. I will go looking for pictures of other 300s. No way is the tractor "restored" but runs nicely. Need dust seals at front wheels and a reverse idler gear that doesn't jump out.

The air cleaner is probably original. The intake screen consisted of a tapered piece of metal that ran from the round medallion back to the hood. It had air intake holes down both sides of it.

OK, think I undestand now. Looked at other pictures.
Would be nice to see a real live restored one. Bet that piece is hard to find and expensive. While some would never rest until it was right, I will just enjoy operating it and not spending a bunch on it. BTW, thanks for the comments, Kenny P

Coloken; I'm intrigued by the picture of your 300,where are you located? Would be tempted to look at it if not to far from Maryland. Could get you that hood nose piece for a reasonable price if you would like to have one. E-mail me if interested. Roger300

third party image

I like to put the image "properties" in the "Optional Image URL" block the message blank, and then it will post in the message (if the hosting site allows for linking).

I have a picture i wanted to share with you all. Could you tell me how you did that? Does the picture have to use an address to where it lives? Thanks

Yes. My ISP gives me a place for my own little web site. I used that. It has been mentioned several times where there are places to store pictures. Some bad, some good.
