I was wondering what a good asking price for a 1978 Case 220 lawn tractor would be. It is in good working condition, with hydriv and the original 10 HP Kohler in it. Any ideas?

Hello Nathan,

I have seen 220"s sell between $250.00 and $700.00 with 400.00-500.00 being average for a decent machine. It all depends on condidtion and if it comes with any attachments. Mower decks would be the norm but if it has a push-blade, snow blower, tiller etc. this will increase the price.

Hope this helps,
Mike

Thanks! It has a working mower deck, and I might throw in a homemade snowplow (works great, can raise & lower it with the hydraulics). I"ll wait to sell until spring, though, if I do at all. I need the cash so I can buy a real tractor.

Well, I"ve got nothing against my Case - but she is just about 20 horses shy of what I need.
