Does the 470 have a pto clutch that can be adjusted and if so, how would I tighten it up? Thanks for any help. Brad

I have posted twice on adjusting pto's on these small tractors. Look on back a few pages for the info.

Thanks Tom, I had searched the archives, but hadn't found much. I just went back as far as I could (15 days I believe), and only saw one of your posts. It was about a 630 I think. Your instructions were very clear, except that my 470 must be set up differently. I have a pipe plug (3/4") above the PTO shaft, and when I took it off, there is natuarally fluid, but also when I turn the pto shaft there is a round plate that spins also. I dont think there are the 2 pins. I don't have a manual yet so I really don't know what is in there. I was hoping it would be as simple as the pins, but I fear there is a clutch in there. Don't know! Thanks for any help. Brad

The 630 case-o-matic has two pins, yours will have one. When you turn the shaft over, everything turns. Look for the pin at the bottom of the hole, nearest the pto shaft. You might have to drain a little oil out of the housing. Whwn I adjusted mine, the whole unit turned with the shaft, but it locked in.
