Larry,
Case tractors have an O-ring around the starter where it slips into the bell housing. Had the same problem on my SC. Replace the O-ring, fix the leak.

Hi Jon, and thanks for the fast response. the oil is going thru the starter instead of coming out at the o-ring. strange, huh? what do ya think? thanks!

Sounds like the oil from the engine is not circulating properly or there is too much oil in the engine? It should only be filled to the upper plug. Are there some access covers on the bell housing that you can remove? There should be some oil in the clutch sump, but it could be that not enough of the oil is draining back to the engine. If you think it is a circulation problem, I would drain the clutch housing and try flushing it out with diesel fuel.

BUSHING ON SHAFT IS SHOT THE ONE AT THE CENTER OF STARTER MOTOR ITS SELF OR ELSE WAY TOO MUCH OIL IS BEING PUMPED INTO CLUTCH HOUSEING
