Hi everyone,
I have the Case 530 Draft-o-matic, 4cly,159 gas engine with front loader. I bought it used in 1997.
I would like to use the loader to lift big round hay bales(1200-1500 lbs). The loader does not have enough gumption to lift them. It is a case loader, probably came new with the tractor.
Was this loader never made to lift anything this heavy ? Or does it need some work done on it ?

Bill

I have a Case 611B Case-O-Matic with a Case loader on it. It will not even begin to lift a round bale and I doubt if it would be safe if it would.

Mine does not seem to have the lifting power it should either. I have a 5 foot bucket and it has a heck of a time lifting it when full of manure.

Sounds like a death wish to me. Had a neighbor that was killed when his 3020 JD tipped over on him moving bales about that size. Do you feel confident that your 530 is heavier and stronger than the 3020? The front end of a 530 seems quite light to handle that much weight.
