This morning I drove past a nearby house that usually has an old tractor or two displayed in the front yard. Usually these tractors are restored. This morning I had to stop - I just haven't seen any Case tractors in the area (Alpharetta, GA). Sitting there was next to a fresh JD "A" was a steel wheeled Case tractor. It turned out to be a model "C". It appears to be unrestored with everything original except for the muffler. The gentleman said that it had been sitting in a basment for years. The paint looks original and has not seen much sun.

Hey joecool, I will be at the Turin show. Its only a few miles from the house. Don't you live in Elmore Al. ? I went to that show this year, I really liked that show/pull. Just look for the new looking DC3 beside a JD 420. Hopefully I will have my set of fenders on it by then.

Yes, I am the president of the club that puts on the show here in Elmore, in fact it was in my backyard, literally. We will be bringing our 31 c, 37 CC, 51 DC, 53 Allis Chalmers CA, and maybe dad's new toy, a 48 LA propane. I have a set of fender that I took off mine, they need work but can bring them for you to look at if interested.

I don't need fenders, I just got some the other day. I painted them and ready to go on the tractor, but I decided to replace the axle keys before I put them on. I had some play between the wheel and axle. Now I'm looking for the square key stock to replace them.

I would like to know what a Case C on steel would be worth. Not sure of the year. It has not been restored. Turned over a few years ago when tried. Needs a gas tank and sediment bowl. I live in Saskatchewan Canada. Thanks.

Dave,

Please email me. I live in Georgia and might be interested in this tractor. I live down in Coweta county. It can be hard to find Case tractors in this neck of the woods.

Thanks,

Travis

Travis, Your e-mail was suppressed. I will stop and get his name and phone number and post it later this week. One of his tractors was in the March or April issue of some atique tractor magazine.

Oh, my! Is that something he's trying to sell? Case C is a mighty fine tractor, a lot more gutsy than you might expect from its physical size. It was the predecessor to the D & DC series. Not especially rare, but a very good, robust, reliable machine with good parts availability.

Alright sounds good. I will give him a call. You never know when you might find a good deal. Thanks for doing that leg work for me.

Thanks,

Travis
