Have a power shuttle on my 580b. Runs fine when start. After a few hours starts slowing down. Loaded on trailer, went to job site ran hoe for three hours, went to put on trailer and almost didn't make it. Gauge pressure was/is good. Had to put alot of fuel to her.Oil is fresh and is Hi Trans Ultra. Any Tricks? or Ideas to get more hours out of her? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like the same problem I and many others had with the 580B shuttle. Worn discs and / or plates in the shuttle pack. Catch it in time and it's really not that expensive. More time consuming. Pull cover off of the shuttle box and feel the outer edges of the clutch discs. A sharp edge is a good indication of worn discs. Ene to end play of the shuttle pack is around .010 ". Another weakness of the power shuttle is a snap-ring on the mainshaft at the rear of the pack is capable of coming out it's groove. If the snap ring is out of place , you'll probaly find it pushed against the bearing next to it towards the rear of the machine. The groove for it can't be seen with pack in the machine, but it's there. Work the snap ring back towards the front , being careful not to stretch it, and it will snap back in place. Back it up with a peice of piano wire in the same grove. Quick fix until you split it .
