Thinking about rebuilding an 800 case. I am interested in knowing what the original bore and stroke are of this motor? I thought the diesel was 267 ci and the gas was 251? I also am thinking of changing the gas block over to a diesel, I have all of the diesel components. I would rebiuld my diesel but it has a cracked block. What are the chances of boring my block out so that I can fit 504 sleeves and pistons in it. Will the block go that big. Do I need to find a 870 crank and rods or can I use the originals? I would appreciate all the ideas that anyone may have. By the way I plan on using this tractor and maybe doing a little pulling with it. thanks jake

Hey Jake, My manual says my 800 diesel (4 cyl), model #801B, has 267 cubic in, 4 1/8" bore x 5" stroke. My 830 Gas (4 cyl), model #841C, has 284 cubes, 4 1/4" bore x 5" stroke.
My 930 Diesel (6 cyl), model #930CK, has 401 cubes, 4 1/8" bore x 5" stroke. Same as the 800 with 2 more cylinders.
My 2470 has 504 cubes, 4 5/8" bore x 5" stroke. I doubt this big bore sleeve would fit an 800 block!

Would you be interested in selling the entire Diesel with the cracked block? If so, is it from an 801B? I'd like to convert my 830 Gas COM to a Diesel.
