Anyone know if an 800 LP exhaust manifold (A11252) will work on a gas engine. The gas p/n is A11250. From looking at the parts book and a few pics it looks it *should*. The gas intake and exhaust bolt together but I wonder if that wasn't just an original design thing.

I guess you could check and see if they use the same exhaust gaskets. This might tell you if they would match up to the heads as INcase was talking about.

Gaskets are the same - they're actually four separate gaskets, not a one-piece. I'm pretty sure the LP manifold would bolt up...but I'm just afraid I'd have to fashion some sort of heat sync to tie it to the intake. Let me think about it for a couple of days and see if a gas manifold turns up. If not...I'll let you know. Thanks a lot!

No problem. Dad said $50 extra for the 4 clamps. Just let me know if you decide you want it.

I've wondered if they are interchangable (fit to heads) too. The gas manifolds were bolted together to help pre-heat the gas/air mixture to get a better blend. This is not necess. with LP. IF they fit YOu may have a little more touble with performance esp. in colder weather. I guess you could make a piece to go between to provide a "heat sink" to the intake. Please post if you find out they are interchangeable.
