case 441 hydraulic problems

I recently purchased a case 441 tractor (similiar to the 430) with front end loader. It has the triple range gearbox and draft-o-matic hydraulics. My problem is with the hydraulics. The hydraulic fluid is internally transferring between reservoirs. After a short operating time the fluid from the reservoir that feeds the hydraulics migrates into the transmission reservoir which becomes overfull. I can drain fluid from the transmission and put it back into the hydraulic reservoir but it only leaks back into the transmission reservoir in a very short operating time.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of problem? How can I fix this problem? Any advise or tips would be appreciated.

I had the same problem, after I removed the rockshaft housing, I found the return hose had split open (from old age) and drained the oil to the transmission case. A new hose took care of it.

Try putting an implement on the tractor and letting it sit with the motor off. If the implement goes down it probably is leaking the hydraulic fluid past the seals in the three point lift cylinder. If the implement stays up overnight it is something else. May be the seals between the hydraulic sump and the differential.
