No fuel being pumped from injector pump. See my earlier post. How do you isolate the problem, is it air in the line, transfer pump problems, or injector pump problems?

Check your hose from the final filter to pump, I have heard tell of them colasping inside.

No guru here but I had no fuel from my 500 either. Did you get Fuel flow from top/final filter bleeder screw? should have enough preassure to PUSH fuel out of that bleeder port. My500 has extra piping around primary fuel pump for bleeding system with shut off valves in those lines. For primary pump to work, those bypass lines should be shut off. If no fuel flow, and have fuel to inlet side of primary pump, check primary pump. To access Primary pump take two fuel lines off and then take top and bottom (2) bolts from primary pump housing on side of injection pump. My 500's primary pump had sheard the pin that drove the little pump. Had to fish the gear out. The 4 smaller bolts on pump will open up to pump gears inside. The shut off control to pump needs to be in on injector pump. Can take side cover off to look in and see if fuel adjustment rod is stuck. From here your on your own. If this tractor had run just a while ago before you bought it, then it shouldn't be anything to serious but if water got into pump, Could be rusted. Hope you find your problem. Jerry

Just read your earlier post. Saying you have fuel coming out of third stage filter, Question, is this flow from gravity feed or preassure from primary pump? I think you might have a sticky fuel control linkage inside. and stuck in off position. Will have to see if I can find a book on a Case's American Bosch injector pump.

I have gravity flow coming out of the 3rd fuel filter. Nothing out of the injector lines either from gravity or from spinning the engine.

Don't get excited. I am not a guru, but I like a good Bosch challange. I think your 500 has a PSB with the gear pump. I am surprised no one had told you to plumb a low pressure gauge in the circuit and see if your transfer pump is working. If you want a sketch send a reply post. They will run on as little as 4-5 psi transfer pump pressure. Perhaps you pressure regulator valve is stuck open. J.

Thanks

Thanks you are correct on the pump type. I would like the sketch, keep in mind I have a lot of experience with gas engines but none with diesels so try to explain and label things for a novice. How do you want to get the sketch to me and where is the pressure regulator valve?

We figured it out. The transfer pump obviosly
had water in it and set up a while, rusting the gears tight. When we turned
it over it sheared the pin on the drive shaft causing it not to pump. We
took it off, freed it up, made a new pin. Spun the engine, engaged the
compression and the tractor busted off ! Smoked like a freight train but
ran. Thanks for the help.
