530 case missing at high rpms

I have a 530 case tractor I have replaced the points, plugs, plug wires, coil, distributor cap. I have drain the gas and put in new. I have clean the carb inside and out. It run's great at an idle but misses and runs very erratic at high rpm's. I am at a loss hope you guy's can help me out. Allen Tate

Did you replace the condensor? A bad condensor can work fine at low speed but can't take the higher voltage at high speed. We are talking in the seven thousand volt range, or more. I've seen it before.

Suggestion: Put a timing light on it and see if the timing is bouncing around (advancing and retarding) when it's acting up. If so, check the easy things first, of course; worn distributor shaft bushing, weak or broken springs holding the advance weights, binding or worn advance weight pivot points. Gently twist the rotor back and forth to see if there's excessive play there. Excessive camshaft end play? Worn timing gears? These are just a few things that could cause your problem.
