Just wondering if anyone knows where the hydraulic filters are in a 2390 Case? I didn't get a manual and cannot dig up anything on the net. Don't want to start pulling things apart!

The last farm i worked on had 6 2590s and the hard way, we found out you should change the hyd filters about every 200-250 hours . The owner found out this was less costly than a trip to the shop to rebuild rearend. keep clean oil and filters in them and they will last several thousand hours good luck

Thanks Doug, i knew it was one of those plates. But now the gasket is stuffed. Bit of a stupid setup. Once again thanks for the reply.

Don't know what you mean by stuffed gasket, but put 2 bolts through the plate to keep gasket aligned, and put it back up in place.Had one for 20 years with no problems.

The hydraulic filters in a 2390 are located in the bottom of the tractor just behind the engine flywheel. There is a plate with a small pipe plug.Pull the plug to drain the filters before you drop the plate, unless you like to take abath in hydraulic fluid. The filters are mounted to the plate.
