Well found the serial number for my Case Vac yesterday after I got off work it started with a 60 so if I subtract 4 it would be a 56 model if this is correct.

I have a 1949 and a 1950 VAC and my dad still has a 1952 VAC-13 that my great uncle bought new.

My dad's VAC-13 is the tractor my brothers and I learned to drive on. This was before we were old enough to go to school.

Forty/fifty years ago my dad did a lot of custom silo filling and he would hook the VAC to a full chopper box and start us out from the far end of the field in 2nd gear and we would steer the tractor towards the farm where my grandfather or my great uncle (grandpas' brother) would be waiting.

Then we would haul the empty wagon back to the far end of the field and hit the ignition switch to stop it.

We were only 5 years old at the time. To this day (I'm soon to be 52) I cannot drive by a VAC without stopping to look and getting tears in my eyes.

Greatest little tractor ever built.

Jerry

Got a '48 VAC with mounted 2-way plow, (points shot), and cultivator. A later VAC with Eagle hitch and 2-12 plow, ( points shot)and a VAI with a Da-West loader. Very reliable tractors for work within their HP range. Best cultivating tractor I've ever run. Good on gas too. Not my first choice for plowing, though I did do pretty well with a 2-10 IH Little Genius with NEW points.

I've had a 52 VAC for 2 years. I use it to clean up my woodland and to bring back firewood. I also own a Ford NAA but the VAC is my favorite.

Got me a '52. I've had it for 3 years. I guess technically it's a VAC-12. Old Babe has earned its keep, mostly running my wood splitter. I bet I've split over 60 cords of wood in the last couple of winters alone.

If I have counted right we have 9 in the family.

I have dad's original 1946 model. Dad and five boys and we have a bunch. I want to get them all togetrher and do the circle of VAC's like the one in full steam ahead someday. They are a nice little tractor. The newest one os a 52 with an eagle hitch.

Have two: 1946 VAC with mounted 2-14 plow and a 1950 VAC with the ever useful eagle hitch, used for mowing (woods 6 foot finish), rear blade work.

Mine was bought brand new from the dealers in 1950. Mom and Dad (newlyweds at the time) traded a pickup truck and a bull for the down payment. They bought a reversible one bottom plow, a disc harrow, mounted cultivators, and a corn planter to go with it. Typical New Englanders, I still have them all. VAC is under restoration now. It has never left the farm.

I have a 1948 model with a rear Case/Detroit sickle bar mower, cultivators and plows. I leave the mower on it year round. My dad bought it in 1969.

Oh no. I thought I had my VAC-14 pinned down. I was originally told it was a 1958, but now know that's not right. I looked at the tag and it read 6014632 (I think) so I did the math and figured it was a 1956 model. Now maybe that's not right? Someone pulease tell me Case made VAC-14s in 1956! It has a yellow-over-flambeau red hood so I figure it was one of those that was repainted in the factory so it would sell (decals look original). I'm so confused. No matter what year it is though, I gave my first hayrides in the manure spreader this weekend and everyone loved them. I'm thrilled... and confused -- Russ

I have a 1948 VAC that I picked up off the New Holland dealer's used lot. Buying it from a dealer like that I paid way too much, but it came with a rear-mounted Case-Detroit sickle bar mower, a mounted plow and 2-row cultivators, and it was driving distance from home(about 5 miles). The dealer followed with the implements on a trailer. It's all there, with straight tin, no rust, and the lights even work. It smokes a lot and takes a while to build up to 10psi oil pressure, so it probably needs an overhaul.

I don't have a Case Vac, but I do have a detroit sickle bar mower I'd like to use, but needs parts. Do you have any contacts for parts for a Detroit 8' mower made by Pearson Motors, Model 14-2?
