Was separating the tranny housing from the rear end on my 1950 VAC and had the rear axle up on jack stands. I had (I thought) been smart and left the torque tube studs in so I would not lose them. She rolled forward and the tranny fell, and the bottom torque tube stud broke the housing! Oh well, I needed at least 4 gears and all bearings in the old girl. I guess I will have to go salvage yard hunting! My wife's favorite sport! Anybody got a VAC tranny in the New England area?

Hi John....What part of New England are you from...I'm in Mass There's a tractor bone yard in Bozrah Conn.Ph # 860-889-0051. I have a 46 VAI a 52 VAC, and a 44 VAC parts tractor, but I might need the gears out of it...The guy down in Conn had at least one VAC rear end sitting there, maybe more....Good luck
