Dad had one of those. Between our place and my uncle's, and custom work for neighbors, it was busy all summer most every year. I remember when the oil filter bracket on the Wisconsin VE4 engine cracked or got a hole in it and let all the oil out, and the engine threw a rod. We couldn't wait for parts or a rebuild, so Dad bought an overhauled VF4 that the dealer had in stock and had it running the next day.

Dad upgraded his NCM to automatic string tie with a Pope conversion. It ate a few sets of needles until they got the bugs worked out, but it reduced the required labor force by two men and I think the twine might have been cheaper than the wires.

I would have no Idea what it would be worth but, those pictures sure bring back memorys. My Dad , Grandad, and myself ran one of those several years doing custom work back in the 40's and 50's . We wore out three of them that I can remember. Where is it located and what could it be had for. E-mail is unlocked
