two questions about 300

Just bought the 300 and am very happy with it.
Need to address two issues.

First there is LOTs of play in steering wheel. I need to turn wheel 180 degrees to move the tires. Where should I start looking.

Second. I was raising the bucket and felt a snap (crack, whatever) in lever by seat. Now the hydrolic control level just moves freely front to back. I followed the rod to the pump where it is connected to another rod that seems to pass through the top of the pump. On the far side of the pump (I think it is the pump) there is seems to be a valve body or something that this rod goes into. I am guessing the break occured there. If I take a screwdriver and push this body back, the bucket goes up, and forward the bucked goes down. Is there a shear pin, roll pin, bolt in there to connect the two I broke? If not, suggestions?

Love to find a manual for this.

Thanks

Yes you do have a (2)roll pins in the lever where it connects to the valve. I would bet money it will be the roll pin on the long shaft that goes through the control housing.Move the lever and see if it rotates on the long shaft. About the steering I had the same problem and I found a roll pin and stock key was sheered in the steering shaft. It will be below the lower rad. hose and under the gen. good luck to ya I have had fun with my 300 in Oklahoma. Just about to have it up and running again.

Thanks,

The rod going through the housing turns when you move the lever front to back. It is the far side where I am guessing the roll pin broke.

I will look at the steering this weekend

Thank you very very much

Take care and don't break the levers I just broke mine and had a hard time finding ones to fix it.
