Case 1194 hydraulics just quit, what gives?

I've got a Case 1194 with only 1400hrs. I shut it off after just a few minutes of operation and went in to eat. I came back about an hour later and the lift wouldn't raise the bush hog. The hydraulics have always been strong and fast. A clogged filter wouldn't behave this way would it? I read another post about a DB 880 or 990 where the sheer pin in the pump could break and let the pump gear spin freely around the shaft. I guess my question is - is there anything else that could cause the hydraulics to stop responding with no warning or loud noise? PS - there is no squealing when moving the remote lever like there used to be.

A 1194 is like the older 885 Case David Browns and there is an spool that will stick in the control that will affect the hydraulics. If I remember righton the right side of the seat by your three point control you will find the control. Pull the cover off and make sur that the the spools move freely. They did have aproblem with that in fact I think there was a service letter on it. Just polish the spools and everything should work. You canot get that part seprate, they want to sell you the whole housing. Check there and I think that will cure your problem.
