Thanks for the pictures! There is nothing better than seeing Case tractors in action. Whenever we travel my family has been trained to point out any Cases they see doing fieldwork or sitting behind the barn. Good Luck with the corn crop. Don

We need more people to put in pictures like this. This is my kind of farming. Nice looking 1030.

Here's a couple more. You can see in the first one the knob at the other end - it's a decent climb, the pics tend to flatten it some.

Here's a pic of planting the knob - you can see a bit of smoke just above the trees - with the saddle tanks it was a pretty good uphill load.

Gee, I don't know if your rows are straight enough. (grin) Looks great! My cousin has an old JD 7000 4-row with no-till and dry box fertilizers for row starter. We pull it with an old Red 886. The corn always comes up green - that's the main thing. Grandpa always said it wouldn't grow if you didn't get it into the ground. We are a little nervous tonight has the beans have also all been planted and there is a chance of frost here (Indiana).

Hey Eb: That 1030 would better pulling a CASE Tool Bar Planter with 6 K160 Planter units behind it. The K160 will get corn out of the ground quicker than any 7000, or 7200 ever built.

Hey Eb: I have CASE photos from manuals somewhere. The K160 had a shoe in back of the double disc. On the bottom of the shoe was a replaceable wedge that cut a "V" that the seed always dropped into. Seed was always surrounded by moist dirt. Seed was always in the bottom of the "V" trench. Not so with the Deere or Kinze unit.

You didn't mention the 7000 series no-till JD planter that you are pulling. We plant no-till and think that it is the only way to go.
