A friend of mine has a 1936 RC case that has a round plug where a starter should go.Does the flywheel have a ring gear and what do I need to do to install a starter if it does? How available is a RC starter? Thanks for any info.--Dennis

If '36 R's are the same as '39's then i think they do have the ring gear already on the flywheel. How and where u find the correct starter i have no idea ,but if u want it to be correct u will need the battery box which goes where the tool box is behind the steering wheel ,a starter switch ,and a generater.Me personnally i don't not like the way the R's look with a starter because of where the battery has to go ,and where the toolbox ends up ,and they are such a small tractor they are VERY easy to crank.
