My serial # tag is missing, On a previous post you guys told me where to look on the engine for the serial #. I did find it on my DC so I am looking in the right area but the SC has a lot of rust in that area. I can make out 1 maybe 2 numbers. I have cleaned the area and still cannot make it out. Is there another place that might have the S/N.

Thanks,
Travis

I know this sounds stupid, but sometimes they are easier to read in the dark using a flashlight. Lets see you explain this one to your wife as you leave the house with the flashlight. :)

No, there isn't.

I cleaned the paint and rust off of mine with a brass bristle brush and I could read the numbers stamped into the block just fine.

Thanks guys, I have cleaned the area with a little brush, I can just make out a couple of numbers, but the wrong ones for the year. I will try to spray a light coat of black paint on it, I noticed on a car that I restored that it will bring out small details.
