I saw a Case tractor which the owner said was a Model C. What year were they built? Any other information about this Model would be appreciated. It is not stuck but appears to be complete but not running. Tires are in poor shape....sheet metal is good. What would be a reasonable offer for a tractor like this? Thanks, AWB.

I bought my '30 C about 18 months ago for $2500. The fellow delivered it to (350 miles) me so that reduced the price.

It is a neat little tractor. I got it just for the memories (we had one on the farm 50 years ago!). Runs great.

This picture shows it with my F-20. If I remember correctly this little tractor will out pull the 20! Pulls 2-16's and the F-20 pulled 2-14's. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong :-)

Very sturdy tractors. The engine specs are basically same as a DC, but with a 3-speed transmission. I've seen a lot of CC's in tractor pulls, and they always make a good showing. The specific model designation precedes the serial number on the tag on the toolbox, I think.

About ten years ago, I paid 1500 dollars for a 1935 C on rubber with cast wheels. It had minimal rust on the tin but quite a few dents that I was able to work out. It was painted flambeau and badly weathered and dirty, and the price I paid was probably twice market value at that time, but I'd wanted a C or CC for a long time, and it ran pretty well.

Prices are all over the place, depending on condition and location.

There are before and after pictures of my C in the gallery.

Here's the "after" photo of the 1935 C. The restoration was completed about 7 years ago, and we use it regularly for road maintenance, so it's getting a little scruffy. It has developed a noisy axle bearing, the drive chains are a little sloppy, and so is the steering. After I get my 1948 VAC in serviceable shape, I'll probably put the C in the shop and give it a more thorough re-restoration.

Cs were built from 1929 to 1938.

There were C wheatland, CC rowcrop, CO orchard, CO-VS vinyard special, CH high clearance, CI industrial and CCS cane special models produced. Along with those models, there were also CD and CG Trackson crawler conversions produced. From what I've read there were 52,680 units produced.

So much for my fancy picture posting abilities..... I'll try it another way.... If that don't work I'll plead for The Great Mike Schottes assistance.
