Was wondering what all motors fit in this machine. Found one today that has a bad engine rest of it is fair shape. Eagle hitch loader shuttle shift. Do have a combine power unit off a 660 sitting here. What would one of these be worth in fair shape. Looks like the rear tires and rims need replaced. But, they look to be the same as the ones off our 660.

John Would the late model 310 b have the flat front end? The serial number puts it as a early 59. Also what other dash assemblies will fit this machine? The whole gauge area is rotted out. Might buy it to part it or to restore, kind of thought a over sized lawn tractor for the wife. She has yet to drive a tractor on my farm but grew up on them. The idea of makeing things longer is not that hard as long as the bolt holes are teh same on the engines. I been farming for yrs and making things work when they should not. Thats why there is a mill and a lathe going in my new shop this summer. How had is it to put the 660 engine in a vac? Are you still looking for them?

Hey Bob: If it is a '59 it would have to be the later style front with the headlites above the grille like the '30 Series. I have no idea about putting a 201 in a VAC, but I was told it bolted right up in a "Hundred Series", except it was longer. Any Autolite or Stewart-Warner Dash would work. The oil pressure guage on a diesek goes to 75PSI, but I have a NOS 30PSI guage for the gas job. I have seen guys install new tin for a new dash and install the round guages you see advertised. You lose the Tach, Speed-o,and fuel guage.

Hey Bob: The 201 Engine from a 660 is a couple of inches longer than the "300" Engine. I know of a mechanic who did such a swap successfully. The steering shaft was lengthened, as well as the hood. The front axle wishbone mount was modified.

I used a 188 in a 311b. I used a 530 torque tube, the center section of the steering linkage. Everything bolted with no cutting or welding.I did change the dim. of the hood 1 inch.
