Recently puchased a Case Model "L" serial No. L440085. Runs... original paint of grey..red steel wheels front & back.... red radiator fan..original wooden platform... runs great..everything is original..has been in shed except for the past 18 months. When was it manufactured?.. I thought serial #'s starting with 44 had seven digits.. and manufactured in 1940. No electrical system... hand cranked... starts usually on third pull.
Thanks, Kenneth R. Allen

Many thanks. It has rubbers front and rear, but has the original manifold. What serial number was the last Case L built? Should it be red?

Some of the lights are there.
