Thanks for looking up the build data for me on DE SR# 8024799. I got it apart today. 2&3 Pistons were still stuck but the PB Blaster must have softened them up since I got all the pistons out. It had 3 7/8" cast iron pistons with all the features you listed. I didn't notice it till I took the manifold off that the block was cracked on the left side the length of 2&3 cylinders. I think I will have it welded up. I will have to replace 2 or 3 sleeves and 2 pistons. I have the parts from my '51 when I went to 4" with it. The crank and rod bearings are very good. They all had two shims except #3 which didn't have any. I think I will replace the head with a 5505A and use a regular gas manifold. The two compartment fuel tank was trash. I have a regular gas fuel tank to replace it. Should I weld the block or find another one? Oil pump siezed and broke shaft. I have a spare. Any opinions on going from low to high compression head. Tractor fuel is not availible here. Can only get diesel or kerosene which cost more than gas. I want to put it on the saw mill at the Carsten 1880 Farmstead show Sept. 10,11&12, where Case is featured this year.
