HELP - 530CK TLB Engine Stalled Will Not Turn Ove

A friend was operating the bucket and hoe of his 530CK TLB (on an incline) with the engine at low RPM's when the engine died (stalled). Now the starter bendix sounds like it is engaging (or trying to) but the engine will not turn over. Pulled the starter and jumped it with cables and it spins fine. Pulled the hydraulic pump off the front and still will not crank over. I tried to turn the engine over a bit by pressing the slack out of the belt and rotating the fan blade - but no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, If you did loose oil pressure at low engine speed, the good news is the block doesn't have a hole in it from a thrown rod. Its expensive if the block is broken. Best wishes, Dennis.....

Don't know if this will help you (and if this is the problem, won't make you happy) but I saw the same or similar thing happen myself. A fellow worker was running a small dozer on a steep hill. He got it stuck over a buried log with the front end standing high in the air (don't ask, he was supposed to be an experienced dozer operator). He walked away and left it idling while he went to find help. Came back about an hour later and the engine had stalled. Couldn't get it to roll over again. To make a long story short, he had it setting so front end high, that it ran out of oil pressure and seized the crankshaft. Nothing to do but a rebuild. Hope this is not your problem, but it could be. I'd say drop the oil pan and check it out.
