It's a 1935 model. With six-digit serial numbers, take the first and fourth digits and subtract three to get the year.
With seven-digit serial numbers (mostly flambeau) take the first two digits and subtract four to get the year.

Except with 7 digit serial numbers beginning with less than 42. 7 digits, less than 42, use the six digit formula.

7 digit less than 42 occurred only in '37 and '38 model years.

Dr

That should be 36 and 37 models. I have a 36 C with the 7 digit number C3109577. Took me a long time to find the secret to the year build for that number. Wrote to Case HQ (in the 1970s) about it, they told me the tractor was built in 1927 (using 7 digit formula). I thought I might have some early prototype or something, but everything about it was late model so I kept digging. Eventually Dave Erb set me right.
