I've posted before looking for a 188 gas engine for my 630 tractor. I've had several offers but none near enough to get away to check out. Are there other engines gas or diesel that would drop into a 630 tractor (is there a 201 or 207 diesel that would fit w/o a lot of adapting?)? Does anyone have an engine for sale that would fit into this tractor near western PA?

Also I have located 2 Case 530 diesels $4500 each.
Is this a good price? Would an Allied 450 loader from the 630 fit on this tractor?

Thanks for any help and thanks to those who responded before. Sorry I wasn't able to follow up on any of the engines available.

I put a combine engine in my 630. The only difference is the dipstick ended up on the opposite side. I was wold the engine came from a 660 combine.

Those combines are rare in this area. I missed a chance at 2 600s and a 660 this fall. Thanks for the info.

I assume those case 530 are complete tractors not just engines :) If you are looking for another one, I'll sell you my 530 with backhoe/loader for $5400. 607-225-4214 -Greg

Yeah they were complete tractors. I went to see them today. Engines seem to run good. One had good tin but noise in the clutch. PTO worked ok, but hydralics were not right. The triple range shifted without noise. 3 point was beat up on both of them. Not worth $4500 each. Maybe 6 -6.5 for both.

Is Beckley, WV too far away? I would be glad to make a few calls for you.

I'm told that the 188 diesel was made from the 159 gasoline block and they didn't make a 188 gas.
