Case 730. Power lift slow/sometime not working

I have a Case 730. The lifting arms seem to be slower than they used to be and sometimes they don't work. Generally they are down and won't come up, but the other day it was just he opposite. Somebody told me it was probably a dirty filter. I called my local Case dealer and he said it was doubtful that it was the filter. He said the filter was on the return side and replacing it probably won't help.

Any suggestions? I think I will start with the filter, just so it can be eliminated.

My 730 had a similar problem and it ended up being a worn relief valve in the remote control unit on the rear of the tractor above the hydraulic pump. Got a rebuilt one from Elmer's Repair in Centralia, Kansas and fixed the problem.
