CASE 188 diesel questions

Mine has a hole the size of my fist just behind the secondary fuel filter. The #3 rod had something to do with it.

How hard will it be to find another block?

What Case products did the 188 come in?

Any suggestions?

I feel pretty darn sad by it all.

Thanks for any help you can lend.

Case used the 188 in many applications. I put a gas 188 in my 630 from a combine. Bolted right in. The only difference is the dipstick ended up on the opposite side.

Good luck,
K-Mo

Are the Case 188 gas & diesel blocks interchangeable? Could I use a 188 gas block and rebuild with diesel sleeves?

Thanks Martin.
I'm now on a search for either a short block or complete 188 diesel engine. No reason to downgrade to gas. Thanks for your input. Got a 188?
Mike
