Looks like I need to get new front tires for my 530-CK ASAP. I went to use the tractor today and it isn't holding pressure and besides, they are old Firestone re-caps that look terrible.

I'm having a hard time finding tires at the usual car tire stores. Looks like Schwab and Big-O can order some. Can anyone recommend what to put on the front? Any advantage on using a ribbed vs. Industrial tire? Its got Firestone industrials on there now but the manual seems to show ribbed? How would you go?

You must be in the northwest with those tire dealers around. For my 530CK, I got a pair of used tires off a F250 pickup, 245-16. They were Load range E, just off a truck. I actually paid for them, yuck, but if you nose around, some tire dealers will let you pick thru the used pile and find some that way. The down side is they dont steer so good in snow or mud. But they have the load rating capacity. Or you can try the local Pick-a-part yard. I'll bet you will pay a good buck for a rib tractor tire with the load capacity that would be good on a loader tractor. Hope this helps.

I think the ribs help you steer easier in the muck. Prob doesnt matter much, get what you like. If you have a tractor supply around, they have tires in stock I believe. Get extra wide ones if possible, when you have a full load in the bucket, it sinks down quick if the ground isnt solid. -Greg
