I have a 1956 case vac 14 and was wondering if a eagle hitch from a 1950 case vac would fit on it????

Well, my late model is 6012578, and if you look in "Full Steam Ahead", they list mine as a mid production 1954, and the nice boys at CASE told me mine was made on June 16th, 1954. The VAC eagle hitches interchange to a point. They used two different pin sizes for the lift links, and two different style eagle claws/latches, plus they changed the lift arm mounting brackets, but by all means, it should bolt right on.

Ditto to "vac Lee"'s post. The "combine the first 2 digits of the serial number and subtract four" system of numbering went out the window in 1954.

Unless I'mm missing something Case never made a VAC in 1956. Please check your serial number. If it starts with a 56 then it is probaly a 52. And if that's the case, yes a 50 eagle hitch should work just fine.

Chopper The serial number you have is when they started making the newer Vacs and you can't subtract four like on the earlier ones. I don't remeber how you figure your serial number but someone on here does. Thanks

According to my serial # chart it should be a late 53. The 54's start with 6011001
