Can anyone give me a NAPA PN or a source for the upright muffler or something usable. I know the inlet is 2". I do not have an old muffler to measure. There has not been an exhaust sytem on this tractor probably for 20 or 30 years. Needless to say the exhaust manifold was eroded away.

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the input. I found three sources for Case tractor mufflers -

Burns CA-2 Whitewater, WI 262-473-3868

CA-A29991 Iowa 800-286-2171

NAPA 21039

NAPA lists the Case mufflers in the previous exhaust catalog but not in the newest one.

I bought a muffler for a 311b about 3 years ago from a Case parts vendor. It fits and looks original as far as I can tell.

P/n on the invoice is A29991...$33.17

Perhaps Napa can cross-ref that nr.

I can tell you what I did and it works great.
I went to a muffler shop got a 90 degree elbow and welded a flange onto it and drilled the holes to match the bolt. I then went and found a muffler I liked that looked good on the tractor and had the 90 welded to it.
Have to be careful not to get the 90 elbow to close to the hood.
I made a gasket to fit between the flange and the manifold, had to put it on with permetex to the flange.
Everything looks great and works perfect.
Had it on there now for 5 years.
