Hello I am looking for some advice on a Case SC. I has asked on the Farmall forum about a farmall A for snow plowing and those guys all kind of swayed me away from the tractor in question due to cost and size. They all felt it was too small for a loader that was on it. SO I am looking for a bigger unit with live hydro and saw a case SC listed close by to my house on this site. I was wondering if anyone has an SC that they use for snow plowing in the winter. That will be its primary function. Also it doesn't have a plow or anything so are those easy to come by?

Thanks for the help. Remember it will be for plowing about 3/4 mile lane. Not super wide either. The SC has a foot clutch and eagle hitch. I don't yet know the year.

This is for my father in law. He will probalby use it in the summer for light road work too but not much else.

Thanks for your help.

If it has the foot clutch it is one of the last SC's. Never used an SC with a loader on it, only DC's but a guy about 10 miles down the road has one sitting in his yard that has a wide blade on it rather than a bucket. Know he used it to clear his driveway but don't know know how it worked. Maybe some of the guys have used one. Our old neighbor when I was back home on the farm mounted a snow plow on his DC cause the bucket wouldn't keep the driveway wide enough. The plow, off a milk truck, worked great. This was back when we used to have real bad winters.
