O.K. guys, got another one for ya. I am going to put a straight pipe on my 2470. I was just wondering which will produce the loudest sound? Short and Fat, Tall and Slim, Short and slim, or tall and fat? Just wanna get the most noise possible. P.S. I know that someone is going to tell me how stupid it is to put a straight pipe on it and loose all hearing when I am older, but I already know and I wear hearing protection in addition to the cab. So ya all don't have to tell me how deaf you are from them damn things! LOL

Why bother to put any pipe on at all, the shorter the better especially if it catches fire, Had to vent as there are many inconsiderate owners of vehicals that have to make maximum noise as the go down the main street behind my house.

I'm not sure about the length but I put one on my 1370 a couple years ago, it is 3 1/2" inlet & 4" the rest of the way to the top. I think the bigger the diameter the deeper the sound, I've heard some semi's that look like 6-8" & they sound great, real deep growl to it. I wish I would have got mine made of stainless steel, I got one that was just painted black & the paint burnt off right away & now it's rust, I got a stainless one for a 930 Case & it's turned color slightly but that's fine, I'm going to get 2 more of them soon for the other 930's
