I am looking at a case /david brown 1410,.,the hood and the grill are bent pretty bad. I can repair them but I am looking for a source to buy the hood and the grill assembly including the gauges (RPM METER and Gas gauge etc). Any one can shed some light on that.
How about it Mr Don Livingston can you help?.

Hello,
I am restoring a 1410 Case/David Brown now. There is a place in Ky. that is suppose to be one of the biggest David Brown Salvage yards around. The name is Pleasant Hill Tractor Parts. They have a web site and their number is 502-845-4467. I just talked to them yesterday about a grill and Front bonnet for my DB. He told me he didn't have any at this time....but one might come in a few months. Real nice people there...
>>>>There is a guy in Canada who has a web site with a 1410 listed as salvage. Their name is British Tractors Salvage...I think...
> Hope this helps

Elmer hi
I have been reading all your posts about the 1410. I was thinking about writing u. I have not bought the tractor yet,it is sitting downtown here. The owner just put a $6500 front end loader on it and died before he picked the tractor with his brand new loader. THe shop is asking $9500 for the whole thing as a favor to the Widow. I can see oil resedue all over the engine part. The mechanic says the engine is in great shape "it hums" these are his words. But I see the dents on the front end of the hood near the lights and the grill is not there. All that with the oil resedues, I am suspicious. I have a Pecan orchard and can use the front end loader. I intend to pull a 10 ft Rhino mower with it. I am running a case 990 and a case 930 now. They run good, the 930 has no leaks at all. Any ways what do u think of this deal? Thanks for your opinion.

The way I see it, they are wanting $3000 for the tractor and $6500 for the loader. I would tell them to keep the loader, and buy the tractor for 3. You can then find your own good used loader and brackets for $3000. That makes the tractor and loader $6000.
Everyone says David Browns are supposed to leak from every seal. Check the engine for excessive blowby.

I can help you out with gauges. The hood might be rough to locate due to it being different to the 1210.
