Advice on a 1994 dodge

I know this is OT, but I trust everyone's opion on this board. Lots of honest ones in here. Looking to replace my old 81 1 ton ford with a 94 dodge 1 ton with a cummins steel 8ft bed and 2 wheel drive. Do not need the matinece of the 4 wheel system. My ole ford is 2 wheel also. How good is the auto trans in the 94? Mainly need it for running parts to shows and may go over the raod with parts too. The dodge has 155,000 on it.

Honestly, those trannys were junk. Unless it was replaced (and most likely it has been changed) with an aftermarket or rebuilt by a GOOD tranny shop I would stay clear of it.

The autos in stock form didn't last real long.
