930 gas vs. diesel

There's a sale coming up with a 930 gas for sale which is identical to the one we have other than we have a diesel - CK, 8 speed, 3pt, etc. We need a tractor for the TMR mixer and maybe spreading manure through the summer, and the old diesel is pretty warm blooded - it stays in bed when it's below 40 degree unless we plug her in.

What are the good and bad things about the gas motors in these tractors? I'm assuming it will be a much easier starting tractor than the diesel, and also assume it will be a fuel hog, but are they good motors otherwise (I assume the bottom end is good since it's the same as the diesel)? Any problems to look for?

What price range should I be looking at? I haven't seen a gas one for sale ever around here, but diesels usually bring between 2500 and 4500.

Thanks.

I have a '65 930 gas that has only failed to start once & I think that was because of the battery that was in it. I have never had it in the field since I've had it to see how much gas it really uses under a load, I also have a 930 diesel that I don't fill very often. As far as the engines, I think the diesels have heavier rods in them, but bearings are the same, other than the heads & fuel systems they are pretty much the same engines. I gave $3250 for mine & it is in very good original condition.
