Ok all you case gurus..... .. What I am looking for is the case model tractors that came with the 504 motor that had the bigger valves. The motor would be used for hot farm/pro farm pulling, 3" turbo, single port water inj. 3000-4000 rpm I understand that there is a large rod bearing and a small rod bearing version. Which would work better?

Thanks for your help.

The heads on a 2090 are the same as all the later heads. They are the same with or without turbo.

I've seen heads off of a 2090, and they're different from the turbo models. The intake valves are recessed deeper into the heads, and have a tendancy to crack toward the injector. They were made this way to keep you from adding a turbo and getting cheaper horses than buying a 2290.

The 2090 heads have bigger intake valves because they were naturally asperated.

I think smaller would be better because
you would have less resistance.

The valve size i beleve is the same in all the 504s i have ever tore down. The larger journal crank would be the best in my opinion. The rod and main journals are both bigger in that engine. Anything bigger than a 1370 has the bigger crank. Hope this helps. Thad
