The needle valve seems to get stuck and not drop down when the float lowers in the bowl. The tractor dies but in a few minutes gas runs in and it starts and runs for awhile. Is there a spring that is missing on that needle valve pin which should be there to push it down slightly. Any one have any ideas. Thanks

Ditto on the all metal needle BUT sometimes I've had to replace both the needle and seat to get one working.

I have had problems with the needles with the viton tip sticking. I like to use the solid metal needles. Have not had any problems with them.

You didn't say what model you've got- but I've had problems with the needle sticking in the seat on my Case SC carburetor, too.

Depending on whose rebuild kit you buy- the needle supplied either has a spring clip or it is a smooth needle without the provision for the clip.

When I consistently had problems with a brand new needle sticking in a freshly rebuilt carburetor- I promptly threw the non-clip needle and seat away... and will only install the kind with a clip now.
