I have found 3 tractors that I could use some help on comparing. All appear to run well. First is a Case 885, 1980 model 42 hp diesel. It has definitely been worked, but seems fit. It has a Allied quick detach loader on it and dual remotes. Price = $8200. Second is a MF 65 with a loader & power steering, not great looking but decent shape. No frills, but looks like a work horse. Price = $4500. Third, is Ferguson 35 TO model with loader, no power steering, new tires and a new repaint. Price = $4200. I need the tractor to help move logs for a log home building project and later for general brush hog, small tilling work. Any thoughts on any of these tractors would be great.

I think they are all over priced especially the Case. I think the Ferguson is probably pretty close to average especially if it looks good but it is a little light to be handleing logs with. The MF is a real workhorse but kind of unhandy to run the controls, but if I remember right it is over 60 horsepower. I used on once to load round bales of hay and it handled them alright without any weights on the rear. I'm not familiar with the 885 Case but it is almost 20 years old and only 42 horsepower for over $8000 get real, even if it has fwd I don't think it is worth that much. Just my thoughts on the situation. Jerrie
