Does anyone know if the sheetmetal is interchangable between the 800 and 900's? The item in question is a LP Hood. There is one for a 910B and I have a 811B-David

A good sheet metal man could cut the 900 LP hood down for length to fit the 800. Next question would be, do they both have the same length LP tank?

The tanks have different part numbers and they do look different. Looks like the 800 tank has leg supports welded to it where the 900 is just round tank held by band straps. Doesn't list any specs for the tanks.

Hood and grille are different for sure on general purpose 800 to the 900. Grille for a 812 and 900 should interchange. 910lp hood number a11355. 811lp hood A11854 if this info is of any good to you.

I think the 811 hood is short compared to the 900 hood. 4cyl to a 6 cyl.

The 910b is 6 cylinder and for that reason has a different hood. Most restorers of LP tractors that I know start with metal off the standard gas version and cut it to match their old LP steel. I know of an 800 in my barn that could be a donor. Rich.
