Need an engine for a Case 1175
1: What is the designation for that engine?
2: What other machines have this same engine (combine maybe?)
3: What other engines are there that will bolt up and work without major mod and what are they in?
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks, pete

A 504 will bolt up alright. A guy west of me put one on a 970. I believe the engine designation is 451 BDT, the T standing for turbo. I don't know if they just stuck a turbo on a regular 451, or if they changed the heads a little. John Saeli might know the answer to that question.

The 1175 uses a 451 Cu in engine, the 1370 uses the 504. Don't know if they will interchange or not. Someone who knows more about these will tell us if they do for sure, if I remember correctly they do interchange.
