contact elmer or bryan at [email protected]. They run two alcohol pullers. They'll tell you everything you want to know.

I wish they made 2090 tractors with Gas! It would be a lot easyer to use in the winter months.I am thinking of making one with a 504 block ,to put in a 970-1070 or 2090 , I have a lot of the parts I need to build it .I can't even find a 970 Gas? so I will have to build it !

Jeff Get ahold of blackburns over in shullsburg wis. I forget which one it is pulls. But, htere at the dealership they can get youo in touch with him to help you out. They run the non smoker class. They are some thing. every now and then they pull exhibtion here in darlington. I never heard how close to the top they placed in their class this last year. Found a 1370 with a blown power shift might have to put in the 1030 with the bad block. Still dealing on the other 1030 and have not forgot you either. The weather has just sucked.

I'd take a diesel over gas any day.

Why would anyone want to do that? It seems like it would be a pretty expensive conversion for less performance, right???

Can't see why anyone would ever want to change a diesel to gas. Besides being more expensive and very costly to change over the gas just don't take what a diesle will unless you are trying to do something for pulling. Worst two tractors I was ever around (actually there were worst ones) was a 706 International gas that a neighbor has and a 4030 John Deere that my brother had for three months. That was a bad experience aned he dumped it and bought a 4040 diesel that he still has. Each his own I guess.

No , but my friend was thinking about changing a 600 diesel over to gas.
You would need to put on LP heads and change the cam,add a carb., and mount a distributor. It would pull better on gas turning more RpM!!

Sorry if I sounded like a smart axx! You pose an interesting question. Ok, I haven't done it, but assuming you could find a carburator to fit your intake manifold, and get a governor to somehow adapt, (may take some cutting and welding), your ingection pump drive is geared at the same speed a distributor would turn, so you'd have to find a distributor that would mount up to the injection pump drive and then time it from there. I presume the Diesel fires at 1-5-3-4-6-2. Then you'd have to adapt some spark plugs into the injector ports. That would be a challange! In theory you could do it, but your compression would probably be so high youd get a diseling effect. Back to my first posting. Why??

Just remove the tack drive and the distributer will go right in.
