Hi All,

Well, I've been slogging around in the cold and mud today trying to get ready for this weekend's tractor show.

Bruce Nelson is supposed to come out and see my tractors tomorrow- but of course, the weather is not cooperating.

My starter locked up- so it's unknown whether or not I'll have a running tractor by load-up time tomorrow afternoon.

However, I did get all the other pieces put on today (in spite of the rain.) Unfortunately, time ran out to throw some paint on my air cleaner. I'll have to pull it again after the show and get rid of the rust (which already started today while I watched it rain.)

That air cleaner hose alignement thing turned out not to be a big deal at all. Thanks for everyone's help, though.

INSTALLED AIR CLEANER:

I had to make a temporary spacer/bracket for the air intake pipe... as my exhaust elbow is a homemade welded job. This required moving the muffler up so there was room for the 1" square tube to sit next to the exhaust elbow. I was able to the get the intake pipe aligned vertical in both directions.

INTAKE BRACKET SPACER:

I added a 7" extension on the muffler pipe, but I think it looks too long. Will have to trim it down and find a way to clamp it to the elbow which doesn't interfere with the bracket.

Mike, if you would buy the correct muffler it would slide down over the exhaust elbow. :) I quit clamping my mufflers onto the exhaust elbow. I figure when I hit a tree limb with the muffler there is less chance of braking the manifold if there is some "give" in the muffler. I usually cut a couple inches off the outlet of my mufflers for a lower clearance.

The fence post is welded around the bent steering arm.

I TOLD you that the previous owner liked to weld, didn't I?

I have to say- the son-of-a-gun ain't never bent again! (grin)

I'm fixing it piece by piece, Tom!

If you come up to Albert City in August I will bring a virgin steering arm down for you. Gotta liberate that fence post!
